I learned to play the game, it wasn’t entirely that complicated. For people who don’t know the game, it is pretty much football with the exception of tackling (though you definitely can if your group wants to) You can run with the frisbee however, you can take two steps and then you have to pass it to your team-mate. It was a pretty intresting game, it would be nice to do it again sometime.

Thank you Tad, for showing me how, and sharing your lime icy with me on that day :)

A past-time I have seen alot of in our local parks, families enjoying the sunshine, and each others company. Throwing a Frisbee. It wasn’t hard as I first thought it was.

Thank you Chris and DJ for showing me the way of the sport.

This last Thursday, July 5, 2012. A group of friends and I drove out of town about forty-five minutes, to col off and have some fun. A place called Levey park, otherwise known as “The Cliffs”. This place was so beautiful a cove in the middle of a dessert and beautiful blue river flowing nearby, trees, sagebrush the smell would tingle against your skin, the tall rock cliffs cascading above you as you walked down a pathway of glistening moonstone. When we finally arrived at the cliff, it was forty feet high, four stories of pure exhilaration. The boys (Chris, Anthony, and Tad) went off first, falling for nearly four seconds, Hitting the water with a pristine splash, that you could tell broke the water’s stillness for the first time that day. It was an amazing day for all of us including Crystal and I.

We drank some cold sprite from the ice chest and allowed the beauty of the sun’s heat soak up in our pale skin, Feeling it not only warm the surface but simmered out blood. The heat was nearly unbearable but the way the sun shined was a sign of hope. I decided to jump in, letting my feet lift off of the smooth rock surface, I kept my eyes wide open as I fell, feeling the air slide past me in a brilliant frenzy of colors. Taking one small breath in I felt the water wash over me in the most exhilarating way, i stayed under letting my body feel at peace for a mere few seconds. Coming up the ripples in the water created a story. the story of life being experience, literally right below my feet. It was something in my life, i will do Over and over again. Perhaps off of bigger cliffs.

It was about a couple weeks ago, I don’t remember the exact date, but what I do remember are skills and survival instincts. Airsoft is a recreational activity in which participants eliminate opponents by hitting each other with spherical non-metallic pellets launched via replica firearms. In this case we used Bio-degradable pellets, that way we weren’t harming the environment. It was a modern type of Live action role playing which was very exhilarating, we had a group of about eight, and Started off with a game of team death-match. we had to move out from one location to another, Our captain, Eagle(Chris), His co-arm Hawk(Ian), Jesus(Ethan) and Gypsy(me).. we were on a mission to destroy the enemy, the water to the right of us was flowing and gave us decent cover of our footsteps, the formation we used were quite sure. The other team camped outside their base and took out two of our men. (we each get one revive.) I was next, on my last revive I decided to back track and cover the rear of our base, In which I spotted their Sniper. Nearly in my sights he spotten me also, I came around the bushes and crawled, spotting his co-arm, he shot above me in the tall grass, I layed low then made a run for it. WE had a fir fight for about 20 minutes.

The next game was a rescue mission, two special ops VS Three Terrorist who had a fellow spec. op. captive. I had a pretty awesome sneak attack there. I layed low, and put my dirt colored scarf over myself and my automatic, waited to see thei potrols and shot them from the side, killing terrorist #1, his fellow accomplice stumbled upon him and started to search for me, in which he looked in all the wrong places therefore I got to light up his side. Terroist #2 Deceased. I stood up and could see my team mate taken hostage, almost got a head shot on Terroist #3, however, he spotted me, and became a fire fight.

Overall, Airsofting was a great experiance, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Bucket List Accomplishment #175; Go To a Baseball Game.(non-school related)

Friday night on June 15th, I got to accomplish something on my bucket-list, I got to be apart of the American past-time. Baseball. I am now a true American. It was everything I’d hope it would be and more. The stands were full of cheering exciting fans and people, the food was Perfect and fattening the way it is in the movies. I got to eat a ball park dog, some nachos, and drink a 32 oz coka-a-cola. (which is all pretty rare considering my healthy eating lately..)   I loved watching the game, it was full of excitement, and it knew how to rage your emotions!

I think sports are a brilliant invention for a past-time, it’s something active with the body. You need a certain concentration to balance, metal strategy etc. It was nice being one of the people in the stands, it was nice being able to sit with a father figure and talk about the game and his memories of his brother and son Chris(who just so happened to be DUSTY, the mascot!)

He was a fantastic mascot, dancing around, the fans loved him, and so did his fan group of about six little girls. It was a complete blast. I can’t wait to go to another game! At the end of the game, since it was the opening game of the season, they lit off a firework show. Honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better day to go watch the dust devils. The light show was amazing, stunning in all ways. A perfect way to start off a season.

Next time, I hope I can get an autograph or a baseball from the game to take home as a memory. Looks like that’s another goal to put on my bucket-list.
